Yes. Zirconium is a completely metal-free ceramic material; it causes no issue with MRI, CT scans, or dental X-rays. It creates no metal reaction or artifact.

For zirconium, 0.5–1.5 mm of enamel needs to be removed (less for a veneer, more for a full crown). Preparation is done under local anesthesia; no pain is felt during the procedure. A temporary crown is placed to protect the teeth until your permanent crown is made.

E-max (lithium disilicate) provides the most natural light transmission on front teeth; however, its durability is somewhat behind zirconium. Zirconium provides superior strength against chewing pressure on back teeth. In a combined design, front teeth can be E-max and back teeth zirconium.

It can crack under very high pressure or impact; however, this is extremely rare in daily use. Using a protective guard is essential for those with nighttime bruxism. If it breaks, the crown can be remade.

Zirconium porcelain is far more resistant to staining and color change than a natural tooth. Coffee, tea, and red wine don't penetrate the surface; daily brushing keeps it shiny.

Zirconium crowns, which cost €700–1,500 per tooth in Europe, are done much more affordably in Istanbul; for full smile designs covering 10–20 teeth, the savings reach tens of thousands of euros.
