When should cataract surgery be done?
There's no medically urgent threshold for a cataract; however, when the quality of your vision begins to limit daily activities (driving, reading, work), it's time to intervene. Leaving it too late (a hard cataract) makes surgery more difficult; the risk is lower in the early stage.
Should both eyes be done at the same time or separately?
Standard practice: the eyes are done on separate days, 1–2 weeks apart. This approach means that if a complication occurs in one eye, it doesn't affect the other, and the healing of the first eye serves as a reference for planning the second. In highly selected cases, same-day bilateral surgery is possible.
"Our goal is not a 'done' look, but a natural, balanced and lasting result that is truly yours."
What is a premium lens (premium IOL), and how does it differ from a standard lens?
A standard monofocal lens corrects only one distance (usually far vision); glasses may still be needed. Premium multifocal or extended depth of focus (EDOF) lenses cover near, intermediate, and far distances with a single lens. Toric lenses also correct astigmatism.
