Facial volumizing is replacing the fat tissue lost with aging through targeted filler applications to the temples, cheeks, and midface. The result gives a non-surgical "facelift" effect; 1–3 ml of filler is placed, distributed according to the area.

General rule: 0.5–1 ml is enough for the lips, 1–2 ml for the cheeks, and 0.5–1 ml for under-eyes. The need varies by facial anatomy and the degree of change. Overfilling leads to a stuffed, artificial look; a conservative approach is preferred.
